Birdleaf is a Savannah, Georgia-based psychedelic rock band brought to life through the collaborative efforts of founding members Reid Gaboury and Finnegan Murphy. What began as a modest pursuit playing house shows quickly evolved into regular bookings at bars, clubs, and festivals, establishing the band as a staple within Savannah’s growing local music scene.

While most commonly associated with the contemporary psychedelic sound, Birdleaf draws from a vast bricolage of genres and influences. Guitarists and vocalists Reid Gaboury and Finnegan Murphy, keyboardist and vocalist Tanner Sgambellone, drummer Jacob Talevski, and bassist Jacob Bailey weave together expansive arrangements and spontaneous improvisation that shape each live performance into something distinct from the last.

The band’s emphasis on live experimentation and collaborative performance has earned them a growing presence throughout the Southeast, including an appearance at Dog Days Fest 2025 and a return for Dog Days Fest 2026. Rooted equally in structured composition and free-flowing improvisation, Birdleaf balances atmospheric psychedelia with rhythmic intensity and exploratory musicianship.

As the band continues expanding beyond Savannah’s local circuit, Birdleaf is currently preparing for the release of their upcoming debut studio album, Allen's Food Mart, alongside plans for an out-of-state summer tour.
